How to reschedule or cancel
This page shows you how to change a booking’s time or cancel it.
Who can do this: Any signed-in prescriber or manager who can open a booking’s details.

Section titled “Cancel a booking”- Open the booking from the calendar on your Appointments screen.

- In the Cancel Appointment window, type a reason. This box is required.
- Click Submit to cancel the booking, or click Close or Keep booking if you change your mind.
Reschedule a booking
Section titled “Reschedule a booking”- Open the booking from the calendar.
- Click Reschedule.
- Pick a new date and time from the list shown.

appointments/reschedule-or-cancel-02.png - Click Confirm reschedule to apply the change, or click Keep current time to back out.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- Cancelling shows the message “Appointment has been cancelled” and the calendar updates.
- Rescheduling shows the message “Appointment has been rescheduled” and the calendar shows the new time.
- A cancelled or rescheduled booking can no longer be opened as a video call. See How to join the consultation room.
- Patients can also reschedule or cancel using their own booking link. You don’t need to do anything when they do.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- “Reason is required” — type a reason for cancelling before clicking Submit.
- If cancelling or rescheduling fails, an error message appears. Try again.
- If the problem keeps happening, refresh the page and reopen the booking.
